Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Too, many have felt the pains associates with personal or family member(s) in addiction. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful losses and sometimes, traumatic circumstances. Anger, anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both individuals and couples and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
Rusty Meadows, MSMFT, LPC, LADAC, has been in the behavioral health field for almost twenty-five years. Before that he was involved as a mentor and non-professional counselor in both business and community environments. His experience, training and compassion for others qualify him to help you address many of life's issues.
Rusty received his Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Harding University in 1997. He has received additional training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In 2010 he was certified by the Grief Recovery Institute as a Grief Recovery Specialist and since then has facilitated or co-facilitated forty-eight intensive weekend grief recovery retreats. Also licensed as an Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor, he worked as the in-house therapist at a residential substance use treatment center. Across the U. S. he has facilitated workshops for marriages in crisis. Understanding what can bring hope of restoration to a marriage in crisis is invaluable in helping others know how to avoid crisis.
A John Maxwell Certified teacher, coach and speaker, Rusty has spoken and continues to make presentations regarding life and behavioral health issues. His prior experience in the business world, as well as working as a VP of administration in the behavioral health field has prepared him to understand the challenges of professionals and non-professionals alike.
TECHNOLOGY ASSISTED COUNSELING (TAC)
Rusty has a specialization from the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling in TAC. This allows for sessions to be conducted via internet or other technology assisted means. This may be used if deemed appropriate and helpful, depending on the individual.
